By purchasing a registration, you agree to the following terms.

1. Registration Purchases
Registrations are valid for the championship or event specified at the time of purchase.
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), including applicable taxes and fees. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Purchasers are responsible for providing accurate registration and contact information for all participants.

2. Refunds and Cancellations
Participant cancellation: Registrations are non-refundable except where required by law or as outlined below.

  • Medical circumstances: Full refunds will be granted for genuine medical reasons, less a CAD $25 administration fee. Supporting documentation may be requested.

  • Travel circumstances: Participants are responsible for their own passports, visas and travel arrangements. Cancellations due to travel difficulties are subject to the waitlist reallocation policy below.

  • Waitlist reallocation: SPWS may offer cancelled registrations to people on the waitlist. If the place is successfully purchased by another participant, a refund will be issued to the original purchaser, less a CAD $25 administration fee. Reallocation and refunds are not guaranteed.

Registrations are non-transferable. All cancellations and reallocations must be arranged through SPWS by emailing info@speedpuzzle.com.

Event cancellation: If SPWS cancels an event without providing a replacement date, purchasers will receive a refund of their registration fee, including any fees required to be refunded by law. Travel and accommodation costs will not be reimbursed, except where required by law.

Event postponement: Registrations will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Alternatively, purchasers may request a refund within 14 days of the postponement announcement, without limiting statutory refund rights.

Programme changes: SPWS may make reasonable changes to competition schedules, formats, challenges or other event arrangements. Minor changes do not entitle purchasers to refunds unless required by law.

3. Competition Participation
All participants must comply with the official SPWS competition rules, eligibility requirements and reasonable instructions from event officials.
SPWS reserves the right to disqualify or remove participants for serious rule violations, misconduct or behaviour that compromises the safety or integrity of the competition.
Changes to registered participants in Pairs or Teams must be approved by SPWS and comply with competition eligibility requirements.

4. Photography, Filming & Broadcasting
SPWS is a photographed, filmed and livestreamed sporting event.

Photography, filming and broadcasting are integral to the competition. By registering and participating, competitors acknowledge these arrangements and agree, where permitted by applicable law, to the use of their image and likeness in event coverage, broadcasts, livestreams and related SPWS promotional materials.

Acceptance of the event filming arrangements is a condition of participation. Additional consent requirements for minors will be addressed during registration.

5. Event Disruptions
SPWS is not responsible for disruptions beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, public health emergencies or venue closures.
If an event is affected, SPWS will communicate the available arrangements, including postponement, cancellation or refunds where applicable.
Nothing in these terms limits any refund or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Registration Confirmation
Following successful payment, purchasers will receive an electronic confirmation or receipt at the email address provided during checkout.
Purchasers must retain their confirmation and follow any event check-in or accreditation instructions.

7. Travel & Liability
